Dhammalipi Project is designed to showcase the ancient edicts
of King Asoka along with a wide variety of translation.
It furthers a critical study on Asoka’s Dhamma with a fresh
perspective as well as a comparative study between Buddha’s Dhamma and Asoka’s
Dhamma with the special reference to Piṭaka literature and Asoka’s edicts.
It will also carry out the etymological research on the
ancient Brāhmi script and the linguistic study on Prakrit language to
understand the origin and nature of Asoka’s edicts.
Its main aim is to highlight the value of Asoka’s Dhamma assigned
to 3rd Century B.C. and it is intended to revive the wholesomeness
of Asoka’s Dhamma to make this modern world as peaceful and prosperous land of
Dhammavijaya.
More detail will follow soon.
